A covert agency exists to exterminate witches and wizards in order to protect the world from the reality-warping effects of magic. While hunting down a witch he failed to eliminate, a rookie field agent begins to grapple with the morality of his actions, while the runaway witch, a former journalist, struggles to survive and deal with the costs of her newfound powers.
